PASSIVE VOICE

Active and Passive forms

We usually use active forms when we speak. They are all the forms we have seen so far (Unit Starter to 5)
Generalmente usamos la voz activa al hablar, son las formas verbales que hemos estudiado hasta la unidad 5.
Active (Simple Forms)
Simple PresentI live in Spain now
Simple PastI lived in India when I was a child
Present PerfectI have lived in many countries
Past PerfectI had lived in India before I came to Spain
will futureI will live in other countries in the future
Future PerfectI will have lived in ten countries before I retire 
ConditionalI would live in more countries if I had time
Conditional PerfectI would have lived in Spain before, but I didn't know it
Pasive forms are often used when we want to give importance to the object of the sentence:
Example: We usually drive to University. I am driven to Universit
Passive (Simple Forms)
Simple PresentThe wall is painted every year.
Simple PastThis portrait was painted by a famous painter.
Present PerfectThe room has been painted recently
Past PerfectThe house had been painted before we arrived.
will-futureThe living room will be painted soon.
Future PerfectThe room will habe been painted next 
ConditionalI would be painted
Conditional PerfectI would have been painted
Active (Progressive/Continuous Forms)
Present ProgressiveI am living in Madrid at the moment
Past ProgressiveI was walking in the street when I met Mary 
Present Perfect ProgressiveI have been working all the morning
Past Perfect ProgressiveI had been driving
will-future ProgressiveI will be driving
Future Perfect ProgressiveI will have been driving
Conditional ProgressiveI would be driving
Conditional Perfect ProgressiveI would have been driving
